The show " Mini IS" (2016) pranked ordinary citizens as well as celebrities by making them believe they had been kidnapped by the Islamic State.Īl-Monitor contacted members of the committee to learn about the outcome of the April 21 session. All of these shows prank famous figures such as media professionals and artists. Other practical prank show series are hosted by Hani Ramzi these include " Emergency Landing" (2015) and " Hani in the Jungle" (2016). The show consists of luring celebrities under the pretext of shooting a regular show for Ramadan, then playing a practical joke on them by stopping a boat in the middle of the sea and have fake sharks surround the boat, for instance, or starting a fire at a studio and having hidden cameras record the terrifying moments and the celebrities’ reactions, as Galal makes sarcastic comments. Galal’s series began in 2011 on Al-Hayat TV before moving to MBC Egypt. ![]() The prank show Awara is referring to is hosted by Egyptian actor Ramez Galal, who has presented " Ramez the Lion Heart" (2011), " Ramez the Desert Fox" (2012), " Ramez Ankh Amun" (2013), " Ramez the Sea Shark" (2014), " Ramez in Control" (2015), " Ramez Plays with Fire" (2016) and, scheduled for Ramadan 2017, " Ramez Underground." Awara said that the safety measures used on these shows can be insufficient and dangerous for guests. In August 2016, a 10-year-old child burned himself to death while trying to imitate a prank show. On April 18-19, a number of members of parliament supported Awara's request, prompting the Media and Culture Committee to hold a session April 21 to discuss the process of stopping these shows, given their negative impact on the public.Īwara said the shows are immoral and attract their audience by terrifying viewers, which he said has serious negative effects on family and society. Moving on to Tuesday, we have a breakfast for dinner situation with Jenni/Pastry Chef Online’s Apple Cider Doughnut French Toast Casserole. I guarantee it! I highly recommend making a loaf of honey white bread to sop up all of those tasty juices. Your house will smell AWESOME come dinner time. Simply quick chop a few veggies, give the chicken a good spice rub, and plop it all in the slow cooker to slow roast all day. I kick off the week with my super-easy, ultra delicious Slow Cooker Roast Chicken and Root Vegetables. ![]() GOODNESS! We’ve got a little bit of everything this week on the Weekly Menu Plan 79, and every bit of it is dee-lish-ous!!! I want to eat All the Things on the menu this week. For more information, call Riggs at 270- 723-1533.Weekly Menu Plan 79 hits all of the comfort food bases with roast chicken, short ribs, risotto, enchiladas, and baked french toast! on weekdays, Awesome Café is located at 111 W. Another customer walked in to see a menu and after a short conversation, I found out she’s my neighbor! It’s going to be a community place that’s what I am most excited about.” Hazle was here yesterday I went to her and Red Hazle’s place for years so when she came in here that just lit me up and blessed me so much. “This is a small town everybody grew up together and most people are somehow kin to each other. “I just get bubbly about it,” she said with a smile. For Riggs, cooking comes naturally, and getting to serve her community is the icing on the cake. Whether she’s serving tourists visiting the Lincoln Birthplace or locals who were born here, Riggs said she is mainly excited to meet people and hopes the café will become a local gathering place. Little towns are wonderful because they pull together and everyone has been helping each other out we’ve been blessed.” “It’s a historical building and these windows and the counters with everything how we’ve done it, it just has a good café feel. “I love the feel that’s in this building,” she said. Pointing out other details done by members of the community, Marie said she is pleased to preserve a historical place and couldn’t have done it without the help. Housed in a former beauty shop on West Main Street, the cafe underwent extensive remodeling in recent months with new counters and cabinets installed by Marie’s husband Johnny Riggs. Now this has become Awesome Café and the way I look at it, this is a God thing-because I was retired-I wasn’t going to do it anymore, but He gave me the ability to cook and serve people.” So I got thinking and praying to the Lord and he gave me the name ‘Awesome Events,’” Riggs said. “When I moved here from Louisville, I needed a name because people were calling me to do little catering jobs. Holding up a hand-lettered chalkboard with the current menu, Riggs smiled and said she hopes the restaurant will be a reflection of story behind its name. Riggs went on to list other ideas she has for the café including a children’s menu and selling crafts made by community members as well as seasonal specials like her fried green tomatoes and pork tenderloin sandwiches. We all grew up on soups and sandwiches for me, they’re the best comfort foods.” “These were some of my bestsellers when we were in Louisville,” she said.” I’m starting out small on the menu but I’ll probably add more as we go-especially desserts-because we like our sweets around here. The menu comprises what Marie calls basic comfort foods: sandwiches, soups and salads-and don’t forget dessert. At first I thought I would only do coffee and sweets but then people started asking ‘Well, Marie are you going to do your soup and sandwiches?’ and it just kind of turned into this.” “I was going to the post office and I saw they had put a sign up so I asked about this place. “Initially, I was looking for a place to do night cooking classes,” said Riggs, who is also a nutritionist and health coach. Since then, Marie continued to do catering work at local events such as First Fridays, Lincoln Days and other local festivals recently she started looking for a cooking space of her own. I mean what more enjoyment can you get than to serve somebody and nourish them?”Īfter operating a restaurant in Louisville for twelve years, Riggs and her husband returned to LaRue County in 2007. “I enjoy watching someone else enjoy something that I’ve prepared for them-seeing the smile on their face. “Myself, I like food, and I like good food,” Riggs said. Originally from Louisville, owner Marie Riggs started working in food service when she was 18 and said she has loved to cook her whole life. 1/8/2023 0 Comments Moto devourThe phone dialer and Android interface are similar to other handsets with the operating system. You can't calibrate the display, but vibrating feedback helps ensure that you're selecting an option. It includes an accelerometer and a proximity sensor, and you can adjust the wallpaper, brightness, and backlight time. Speaking of which, the capacitive display is accurate and responsive. You also can adjust the thumbpad's sensitivity. With most touch-screen phones we tend to stick with onscreen navigation completely, but the Devour could sway us to mix it up. It's easier to use than a trackball or a toggle. It does take some acclimation because of its small size, but we were hooked once we got the hang of it. You can use it to select options by pressing down (the control actually moves and you hear a sound), and you can move between home screens and menu selections by swiping your finger over it. Part physical control and part optical mouse, the thumbpad has a dual purpose. You don't get the lag time that we found on the Nexus One. On the upside, the touch controls are responsive. Moto also gets props for the rubber sidings and the tapered ends that give it a much sleeker look than the Droid. And in any case, we don't mind a heavy phone. We enjoyed the metal skin-not only for the extra protection it adds, but also because it gives the phone an attractive sheen. It's all because of the "extruded aluminum" that wraps around the Devour on all sides. Though the extra heft may make you a bit wary, the payoff is a sturdy device that has a comfortable, solid feel in the hand. And like the Droid, the Devour weighs more than many smartphones in its class (5.89 ounces). The two devices share almost the same shape and the Devour is just about the same size (4.4 inches long by 2.4 inches wide by 0.6 inch deep). Keep in mind that you'll need to purchase a Verizon data plan.Īs Bonnie Cha aptly put it, the Devour could be the Droid's little brother. At $149 with service and a mail-in rebate, it's only $50 cheaper than its predecessor. It does make for a less-complicated alternative to the Droid, particularly if you need a full keyboard, but it won't save you much cash. On the downside, we're wondering why we only got Android 1.6-I still say that this fragmentation is one of Android's biggest flaws-and the user controls need work, but the Devour remains a solid addition to the Android family. We also dig the quirky thumbpad next to the bright, though somewhat small, display. We love its sturdy casing, the feature set is functional, and the performance is agreeable. Indeed, there's much to admire about the Devour. 1/8/2023 0 Comments Moon atlas book![]() Some additional information is at this link (in English). It’s apparently no mean feat, as the data came from a three-line array CCD stereo imager and resulted in the Mercator or Azimuthal projections. This includes specifications of the CCD camera, the characteristics of the probe’s orbit and the actual data processing. Nicely located in the preamble is a description of the data processing. This book is a re-issue in English of their initial production of 2012. I bet you’re wondering about where the data came from? The title says it all. It’s just like an atlas should be straightforward, simple and to the point. With this appendix, one can quickly and easily find the common lunar geographic features. It includes a list of 3,698 features placed on the maps with each feature having its name, its latitude, its longitude, its size in kilometres and its page. And they include the complete Moon surface, with a space resolution of 500m, a horizontal accuracy of 192m and vertical of 120m. There are 188 maps each on their own page all of them presenting an equal and fine finishing. How do I know of these descriptions? Simple. This book includes eleven of such nomenclatures.įor instance, there are the very dry Oceani, the Maria that hint at water courses, circular craters with astoundingly sharp edges and the knife edge rimae that slice along. But there are many other features that are at least interesting enough to warrant a particular nomenclature according to the International Astronomical Union. On the Moon we certainly don’t have to worry about water features. When I hike, I use maps to find interesting outlooks, amazing drop-offs or dry land between swamps. “Who’s going to sit down and read an atlas?” Good question, as I didn’t think I would either, but I definitely will use this book.įor me, a good atlas allows me to understand the shape of the land almost to feel the topology without actually being there. 1/8/2023 0 Comments Coppola wine reviewsOur personal attendant, Suzy, was simply incredible. Surprisingly a touch lean but no complaint there. Very luxurious, but still a relaxed beach vibe. A rich and zesty cabernet sauvignon with well balanced acidity. I am yet to find two bottles of Pinot Noir which are too similar, and I love that although I know I will always be satisfied with a good Pinot, I will still always be in for a surprise. We were in Sofias beach house, which was exactly right for our group of 8. This Pinot Noir reminded me, as I am so often reminded with Pinot Noir, that the quality of diversity which I appreciate so much with Pinot as a whole category, is equally present in every bottle from every maker. The taste was quite flavorful, almost like a cross between a Cab and a Pinot, and it left a pleasant, somewhat tannic feel behind. I enjoyed the flavor and it was a great complement to our meal. I am just learning about wine but was impressed with this one. The palate lands with hearty tannins that give balance to the black currant and roasted. We had read an article explaining his new venture in wine making. Aromas of blackberry, toasty oak, cigar box and herb show on the nose. The scent is refined, but it hints at a certain tartness often present in a good Pinot Noir. My husband originally bought this wine for me so I could try a Coppola wine. ![]() I enjoyed both pasta types, but my favorite was the Bumbola, which really holds the pasta sauce, because of its rough surface. The Rockwell Collins HGS-6000 system with EVS and SVS functions, as well as the pilot's electronic portfolio (EFB, Class II) are offered as options. Synthetic vision system, full-featured FMS, MultiScan meteo-radar, inertial systems (IRS), TAWS early warning system, dual-channel autopilot, automatic traction machines - all this is on the list of standard equipment. On the dashboard, four 15-inch horizontal displays are arranged in the shape of a T. Unlike the Honeywell Primus 2000 complex installed on the Global Express and Global XRS, the avionics on the Global 6000 meet all requirements (both current and future) of the air traffic management system, including calls for the required navigation performance (RNP) and coursework beacons (LPV), automatic data transmission between crew and dispatcher (CPDLC), automatic dependent surveillance (ADS-B). Most of the operators reported that they rarely rise above the FL470, so a comfortable flight for passengers is provided.īut the most likely significant improvement over the XRS was the Bombardier Vision brand digital aircraft, based on the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics. The salon really turned out to be one of the quietest in the industry, and the pressure in it at FL450 corresponds to an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. The flexible design of the Global 6000 wing is inherited from the original Global Express model, thanks to which passengers can enjoy a smooth flight even in turbulent conditions.Īnother strength of the aircraft is improved (compared to its predecessor - Global XRS) soundproofing and sealing the cabin. There is also access to the luggage compartment. The second - passenger - toilet is located in the tail section, it has a pair of portholes. Most jets are also equipped with a kitchen unit in front of the cabin, a lounge chair for crew members (not a certified resting place), and a separate crew toilet. In most aircrafts of this type, the cabin configuration assumes a club section of four seats in the front, in the central - four seats in the conference layout, and in the back - a room with a three-seat sofa and three seats facing each other at the opposite side. In the three compartments fit 12–16 pass. After the Gulfstream G650 (many people call it the superjet), the Global 6000 has the largest interior. Of course, this is not a record range, there are more long-range business jets.īut the Global 6000 is the epitome of comfort for passengers. No less popular use of this aircraft is 12-hour flights at a speed of 0.82M from London to Los Angeles, from Tokyo to Delhi or from Miami to Moscow. Flights of up to 10 hours run at a speed of 0.85M: ideal if you need to quickly get from Shannon to Seattle, from Sao Paulo to Lisbon. The Global 6000’s superb cabin width allows use of wider cabin seats than many of the other long-range jets.More than a hundred Global 6000s - Bombardier’s third-generation long-haul business jets are already flying around the world in the interests of their owners, who praise them for speed, comfort and reliability. There are two more windows that illuminate the section between the forward and mid-cabin seating sections, plus two windows in the aft lavatory that flood the interior with ample natural light. The Global 6000 is typically configured with three seating areas, with each having three windows on each side. There is in addition a high-density configuration where it is possible fit up to 19 passengers and two crewmembers typically used for the longest routes. high, making it a very spacious cabin to fly eight passengers comfortably, with enough space for two crew members.
